AGERA CHEMICAL PEEL
The acne peels help to unblock your pores, reduce redness and bring acne under control, as well as reducing the risk of future scarring.
The peels contain a carefully balanced combination of dilute stable acids – Salicylic, L-ascorbic and Lactic acid.
What does a peel feel like?
It will feel warm and tingly when the peel solution goes on, but it shouldn’t be more than you can handle!
A cooling fan will usually be used to make it more comfortable, and you’ll be asked how it feels throughout.
Depending on the purpose of the peel, it’ll either be applied once or – for a deeper peel – in several layers. Each layer is only left on for around 5 minutes.
There’s no down time as such. You’ll probably be red and blotchy for a little while, and need to avoid make up for the rest of the day, but you’re fine to wear mineral make up the next day.
About three days after each peel, you may find a few dry patches appear on your skin, but everyone’s skin reacts differently. Some people won’t visibly peel at all.
While they’re suitable for most, there are certain circumstances where Agera peels aren’t recommended.
If you’re already having a course of different peels, are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to any of the listed ingredients, or taking a course of Roaccutane, Agera peels should be avoided.
